The Still Point in the Season 🍂
Theme: Pause and Presence
Gods/Spirits: Astraea (goddess of justice and the fading golden age), The Horae (seasonal keepers of natural order)
Practice:
Go outside at dusk. Notice how the air, light, and sound have shifted since midsummer. Simply observe for 10 minutes, practicing presence without ritual tools. This is an act of seasonal awareness.
Divination: Sky-watching. Instead of Tarot or Runes, look at the clouds, birds, or the shape of branches and interpret them as messages for the day.
Color: Soft Grey – neutrality, in-between, liminal stillness.
Crystal: Moonstone – connection to subtle shifts and intuitive awareness.
Herb: Thyme – for courage and inner strength during transitions.
Ritual (Step-by-Step):
Step outdoors or sit by a window. Hold Moonstone or sprig of Thyme (optional). Sit in silence, breathing with the season as it is right now. Notice a single detail (wind, animal sound, leaf pattern) and take it as a seasonal omen. Write it down as a “message of the day.”
Journaling Prompt:
“What do I notice today when I slow down and simply observe without trying to change or control?”
Unique Element: Instead of offerings or altar work, today is about direct experience of the season—no tools required.
