September 28 – Final Harvest Blessing

Sept 28 25 Spiritual Guide.

The last fruits of the season are gathered, and with them comes a moment of deep gratitude. Today is about recognizing abundance not as excess, but as blessing—what the land has given, what effort has yielded, and what joy can be shared with others. As the harvest cycle nears its close, we honor the bounty that sustains us and offer thanks to the deities and spirits of growth.

Theme: Final Harvest Blessing

The act of preparing food, especially bread or fruit-based dishes, connects us to the cycles of sowing and reaping. Sharing that food extends the blessing outward, ensuring the harvest is not hoarded but celebrated in community.

Gods/Spirits

  • Freyr – Norse god of fertility, prosperity, and the harvest.
  • Demeter – Greek goddess of grain, abundance, and nourishment.
  • Pomona – Roman goddess of fruit trees, orchards, and ripening bounty.

Practice

Bake bread or cook with seasonal fruits such as apples, pears, or berries. Place the first slice or portion as an offering to the gods or spirits in gratitude. If possible, share what you have made with someone else—a friend, neighbor, or family member—as a living expression of the harvest’s generosity.

Divination

Tarot Focus – The Empress
The Empress card embodies nourishment, abundance, and the cycles of growth. Meditate with her imagery and ask:

  • What abundance surrounds me right now?
  • How can I nurture and share it with others?

Color

Green & Gold – symbols of fertile growth and ripened prosperity.

Crystal

Citrine – linked to abundance, prosperity, and joy. Keep it on your altar or near your cooking space to infuse your food and ritual with golden energy.

Herb

Apple Blossoms – carry the blessing of harvest, love, and fruitfulness. Use dried blossoms to decorate your altar, add them to incense, or sprinkle them lightly around your offering plate.

  1. Prepare bread or a dish using seasonal fruits.
  2. Place the first slice or portion on your altar, dedicated to Freyr, Demeter, and Pomona.
  3. Light a green and a gold candle beside the offering.
  4. Hold Citrine in your hand and speak words of thanks for abundance and nourishment.
  5. Share the remaining food with others to spread blessing and gratitude.
  6. End with a simple prayer: “As the land has given to me, so I give in return. May blessings flow onward.”
