About Course

The Major Arcana represents the larger patterns of human experience—moments of choice, transition, collapse, growth, and understanding. These cards are often treated as something to memorize or master, but they can also be approached as a symbolic language for reflection and self-awareness.

This mini-course introduces the Major Arcana as archetypes rather than fixed meanings. Instead of teaching predictive techniques or rigid interpretations, it explores how these cards reflect lived experience and internal shifts.

You’ll learn how to engage with the Major Arcana thoughtfully, develop personal meaning with discernment, and approach tarot as a reflective tool rather than a system of answers.

This course is intentionally slow, grounded, and accessible. There is no pressure to perform, believe, or interpret “correctly.”

Course Content

Welcome Letter
Welcome. I’m genuinely glad you’re here. This mini-course on the Major Arcana isn’t about memorizing meanings, mastering symbolism, or learning how to “read tarot correctly.” It’s about understanding what these cards are, why they matter, and how they might begin to speak to you in your own way. The Major Arcana deals with archetypes — experiences, thresholds, inner shifts, moments of choice and change that show up in real human lives. You don’t need to be psychic. You don’t need special abilities. You don’t need to believe anything specific to benefit from working with them. You also don’t need to rush. This course is meant to be taken slowly, thoughtfully, and honestly. There are no right answers here. There is no test at the end. The only thing that matters is your engagement and your willingness to notice what resonates — and what doesn’t. If at any point something feels unclear, uncomfortable, or simply not for you, you’re allowed to pause or step back. Tarot is a tool for reflection, not pressure. Thank you for choosing to spend time with this material. Let’s begin gently.

Introduction to the Student Workbook
Before you move into the course lessons, let’s talk about the Student Workbook and how it’s meant to be used. This workbook is designed to be used alongside the lessons, not after them. You don’t need to complete it all in one sitting, and you don’t need to write perfect answers. In fact, messy, uncertain, half-formed thoughts are often the most useful ones here. Each section of the workbook corresponds to a lesson in the course. As you move through the lessons, you’ll find prompts that encourage you to: Reflect on your personal reactions Notice patterns or emotional responses Explore your own understanding of the Major Arcana Develop meanings that feel authentic to you You’re welcome to write as much or as little as you want. You can skip questions, return to them later, or revisit the workbook long after the course is finished. This is your space. The goal of the workbook is not to tell you what the Major Arcana means — it’s to help you discover what it means to you. Keep this workbook open as you move through the lessons, and use it as a companion rather than an obligation.

Course Introduction
The Major Arcana represents the larger themes of human experience — moments of choice, change, loss, growth, power, surrender, transformation, and understanding. These cards are often described as the “big” cards in the tarot, not because they are more important than the others, but because they point to patterns that tend to repeat across a lifetime. This course is not designed to teach you fixed meanings for each card. Instead, it focuses on helping you understand what the Major Arcana is, how it functions symbolically, and how you might begin forming a personal relationship with these archetypes. You may encounter descriptions of the Major Arcana as a linear journey, often called the Fool’s Journey. In this course, that idea is treated as a framework, not a rule. Growth does not always happen in neat steps, and the cards do not demand that you experience them in any particular order. Different decks emphasize different imagery. Different readers emphasize different interpretations. That variation is not a problem — it is part of how tarot stays alive and relevant. Your responses, reactions, and insights are valid data, not mistakes. This course stays intentionally grounded. It does not require spiritual beliefs, psychic ability, or predictive thinking. The Major Arcana can be approached as symbolic language, reflective tools, or mirrors for inner experience. You are free to decide how you engage with them. As you move into the lessons, focus less on “getting it right” and more on noticing what resonates, what challenges you, and what feels neutral. All three responses are useful.

Closing Reflections
As you step away from this mini-course, remember that the Major Arcana is not something to master or complete. It is a symbolic language you can return to when it feels useful — and set aside when it does not. You are not required to work with tarot daily, deeply, or forever for this material to have value. Insight often comes from quiet reflection rather than constant engagement. If you continue exploring tarot, allow your relationship with the cards to evolve naturally. Meanings can shift as you change, and that flexibility is a strength, not a flaw. The Major Arcana does not demand answers. It offers perspective — when you choose to look.

Thank You Letter

Whether you moved through the course quickly or slowly, whether everything resonated or only a few ideas stayed with you, your experience is valid. This course was designed as an introduction — a way to begin thinking about the Major Arcana as reflective tools rather than fixed answers. You’re free to return to this material when it feels useful, and to step awy when it doesn’t. Thank you for being here and for giving this space your attention.

Feedback Request
If you’re willing, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Feedback helps improve future courses and ensures this material stays clear, grounded, and genuinely useful.
